If you want to increase leads coming from your website, you need to ensure your website has a clear message about your services, a great user experience, and optimized for search engines. Kris Peterson, owner of Admin Solutions Group, knew she had an issue with her 15-year old website when she kept receiving feedback from users saying they were not really sure what her business provided. I found her website online and reached out to see if she was interested in a new website and she knew now was the time.
I provided a free consultation to talk about her needs and give Kris an opportunity to get to know me one another. We both decided we were a good fit for each other, so Kris hired me for my website design services to create a new website for her business.
The first step was a brand discovery call, where we talked for an hour and I asked her many questions about her business. To successfully apply my experience and expertise with developing a great digital marketing strategy and website design, I must understand the business.
Then I created wireframes of the new website, which are basic mock-ups of the layout of the site and, more importantly, the flow of content on each page. User experience is vital and user experience is based on the flow of information and content throughout each page.
When the wireframes were approved, I moved to the next step, which was developing the site and applying a great design. To ensure we were in alignment with the design and the aesthetics, I provided examples of designs from which Kris could pick. I would not copy the design, but use it as a direction to take the design of her custom website. We both recognized her old logo was going to clash with the new website, so I had a great new logo created to keep her whole site looking cohesive.
After developing and designing the new website, I shared a development link and Kris was so happy with the website. It just looks great and it was so easy to find the right information about the services her business provides.
Once the website was completed and approved and we had launched the website, we didn’t stop there. I am now implementing an ongoing SEO strategy consisting of optimizing the business Google listing, other local listings, and providing content briefs for new blog content. All of these are critical parts of building up SEO for the business, which can increase traffic to her website.
